Day by day
- Day 1
Arusha National Park
Giraffe, colobus monkeys and a canoe on the Momella lakes, 45 minutes from town. A walk with an armed ranger for older children.
- Days 2–3
Tarangire
Elephants and baobabs, with a pool at the lodge for the heat of the day. Drives are kept to a few hours.
- Day 4
To the highlands
Up the escarpment to the cool highlands. Afternoon on a coffee farm or at a local school with Little Oasis.
- Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater
The crater in one morning: the easiest place in Tanzania to see lion, rhino and hippo in a few hours.
- Day 6
Lake Manyara and home
Baboon troops and the lake shore, then back to Arusha.

Is the vehicle private?
Yes. Every Trailheads safari uses a private 4×4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof and your own driver-guide, for your party only. You never share with strangers.
What is the difference between mid-range and luxury?
The vehicle, guide and route are the same. Mid-range lodges and tented camps are comfortable, en-suite and full board. Luxury camps are smaller, closer to the wildlife and more personal, with better food and service. Where you stay explains both.
Are park fees included?
Yes. Every park, conservation area and crater fee on the itinerary is included in the price we quote.
