Arusha National Park climbs from the Momella lakes to the summit of Mount Meru at 4,566 metres. It has no big predators to speak of, which makes it one of the few parks where you can walk with an armed ranger and paddle a canoe among giraffe and buffalo.
It is the easiest first taste of safari after a long flight, and a good day for families.
